Checked the blower belt on the back of your dryer?
Clothes dryers need three things to work air, heat and tumble. The absence of any of these will cause the clothes dryer to malfunction. A broken or loose fan belt will not only cause a peculiar noise but will usually cause the dryer to overheat. Once the dryer has overheated it will cause the dryer to cut out.
A blocked lint filter will cause the same problem. As the dryer states "Clean lint filter after each load."
Suits most models of Simpson, Westinghouse and some Kelvinator clothes dryers.
Replace this belt even it has fallen off, it means it is stretched and will fall off again.
